I have a 4" barrel Victory 38 Special ser. # V 15137 with no marking on the top strap with all matching numbers. There is a "P" on the front of the left grip frame under the grip and there is a "R" on the rear of the left grip frame under the grip. Any information like manufacture date etc. is...

My every day carry revolver is a 649 in a ISWB Holster. They are not the best of looking guns but can be carried in any pocket or holster without fear of snagging the hammer on clothing. It can also be cocked and fired if desired.

I own a 686-3, and two GP100's. It to me would be a very hard call to choose between the two, but if I knew that I was going in harms way and not shooting paper I would choose the GP100. My opinion only and you know the old saying about opinions.

The stock on my 1917 ser.# 51xxx is stamped instead of being penciled in. The numbers are the same type and size that are on the underside of the barrel and on the cylinder. Anyone seen this before? Also, it is a all matching number revolver. Thanks

I searched a long time for a pre-lock 617 with 6" barrel without luck, but found a 17-8, 10 shot. I think it's the same revolver as the 617 only black. These seem to be a bit easier to find. It shoots as good if not better than my 17-3. Unless you are really needing stainless you may give this...
