    Red Dot for a M41?

Nice Pic Flame Red! My barrel ships Monday, I'll be watching to see your groups! I plan to test with both my Burris Fast Fire and Ultra Dot. I like the looks of the smaller foot print of the reflex sights. Regards

    Red Dot for a M41?

If you don't have a drilled & tapped barrel(or don't want to D&T your original) you might consider buying a new barrel that is D&T. I had an older 5.5" and bought this new 7". Both Weaver & Weigland make a mount. My sight only requires the first slot so I cut off the unneeded portion for a...

model 41 - what's so great about it?

My M41 is the best single firearm purchase I've ever made. I never tire of shooting mine. As to the barrel length I suggest that you just buy the best/cleanest example that you can find regardless of barrel length. Then pick up the other barrel to take advantage of the easy barrel swap out on...

Walther P-22 Question and Buying Advice Please

Look for the series, not the serial number. It is a letter code. AH=2007 very good AI=2008 I wouldn't go lower than 2007 production. There were early mag problems, they are marked "A" you want the improved "B" marked mags which should come 2 each with a 2007 2008 production. Regards

tell me about the model 41

I own two,a 5.5"mid 70s vintage and a 7"1988 production. They both have sweet triggers and are flawless with CCI standard vel,Rem Target, and Fed Automatch. They just don't have loading, ejecting, stovepipes. The CCI is the most accurate in both pistols. Most that shoot one at the range prefer the...

    Recommend a .22 Target Pistol

If,you can afford one in your budget the Smith 41 is in a class all alone. You would not regret the purchase. Next is the Buck Mark, another solid American made pistiol. Both have great single action triggers for serious target work. For double action training the Sig Mosquito has the feel of...

Opinions on Smith 422 vs 41?

I shoot a lot of 22 rimfire and have aquired many different brands to include Smith 41,422,2214,P22,Sig Trailside,Mosquito,Browning Buck Mark, and a Glock 22rf conversion. If, I were to regain my sanity and narrow down this collection to one I would for certain keep the 41s as they are the Grail...

hi why are "A" series 41 the best?

I for sure yield to Tom's knowledge since I'm new to the 41s. I speak only to my two examples which came to me used, but in almost unfired(safe queen)condition. The first is a TBD 65** and the second is an A59800**. They are both excellent shooters with CCI SV,Federal Automatch,Remington Target...

    Used M41 or New Buck-Mark?

I own both and I like them for different reasons. The Buck Mark with a light 4" TacSol threaded barrel is a perfect suppressor host. They are ultra reliable, and I don't mind sticking it in a pocket or let it bounce around on the seat of my truck. The 41 is the Grail of 22rf pistols,my only...

Model 22 a Red Dot, Laser or scope?

I have a P22 with the Viridian Green laser and it is fun as a fast plinker accurate combo that fits on the under rail. For a top rail your decision is what tube size red dot you want. You can't go wrong with an Ultra Dot 1" @ $100 or if you can spring for the $170 the Burris Fast Fire has a...

622 -- The Good & The Bad of this Model

Congrats on your mint 622! I have the 422 & the 2214 version of this fine pistol. They have become even more popular because the stock barrel nut can be replaced by an adapter made by HotRod9mm that turns these in to an excellent suppressor host without the need to send the barrel out for...
