    327 TRR8 M&P R8 differences?

I have a TRR8 I bought for bowling pin matches. It's the first revolver I've ever been able to shoot well double-action. I used 158 grain moly-coated cast hollowpoints in .38 Special cases loaded to +P velocity. This is the gun that made me fall in love with N-Frames. I use the iron sights...

    SMITH & WESSON 327 pc

I have a 327 TRR8 which is a PC gun, and I LOVE the thing. I bought it to shoot bowling pins (158 grain HP .38's), but it shoots 125 grain .357's every bit as well. I can hit bowling pins, center of mass, at 29', double-action under pressure with it. It's a shooter!

    Looking at performance...

I purchased a TRR8 as a bowling pin gun. I don't have any experience with the other two models, but I'm VERY, VERY happy with the TRR8. It's the first revolver I've ever shot that I can actually hit accurately double-action with (a bowling pin at 25' is not a particularly large target...

    S&W 625-JM Catastrophic Failure/Accident

Here's a commercial loading machine: The fifth station is the powder charging station. The sixth station is a powder level check. I've been handloading for 26 years now. I don't always visually inspect the case after the powder charge is dropped, and neither my Dillon 450 nor my...

Boy, was I in the right place at the right time

At that price, I would have hurt myself by going for my wallet faster than humanly possible. Great deal, beautiful gun.

686 owners and 627 owners its time to do battle, convince me which is better

Let me throw out my vote for the 327 TRR8. Scandium frame, stainless cylinder, 8-shot with moon clips, Performance Center trigger job, gold bead front sight, 5" barrel, and it's a SHOOTER. Probably lighter than the 686+ as well. Love mine - absolutely my favorite revolver.

    Holsters?

I'm trying to find something commercially available rather than custom. As I said, if the Competitor is a competition gun, surely there's someone making a competition holster for it already?

    Holsters?

Hi, brand new here, but I came because this is the place for Smith N-Frame enthusiasts. I recently purchased a Y2K-vintage Lew Horton 629PC that looks a lot like the newer 629 Competitor, except it's polished, has an unfluted cylinder and Mag-na-porting: Since the Competitor is a...
