This thread was a great idea. I am starting to get my wife trained...before she throws anything out now she asks if I'd like to shoot it...eggs are the current favorite, I was taking care of my cousins chickens for a few days and didn't need any eggs...cheap and always replenished the next day.

They are asking way too much for a used 15-22. I bought my MOE 15-22 for $485 shipped about 6 months ago. I'd offer $350-$375. Just my .02

My MOE 15-22 came first, and that started my path to a 5.56/.223. I am almost done with a semi budget build, lefty. Sorry no pictures as of yet.

After my order from Midway arrived I found that my local AAFES BX carries the 25rd mags for 17.99...SO, any Mil, Ret, Gaurd or Res--that has the new and improved BX with the outdoors section may be in luck...no shipping, no tax :)

I will be the first to admit that JaPes' post was very influential in my purchase of my 15-22 over the "Colt". Being selected as Firearm of the year helped as well. I'm a research hound and before I spend any kind of substantial ($500 is substantial to me) money on a product I want to know...

I received my black MOE around mid May, it didn't come with the rial covers either....it would have been nice to have but not something I will lose any sleep over. I'll just keep buying ammo in bulk and spraying casings on the ground.

The 15-22 is definitely addictive...my favorite gun to shoot of all my guns. My sons and nephews love it too...I foresee a couple more 15-22's being purchased in the family soon :D

Depends on which model you are looking at. My LGS's were crazy high...ended up ordering one one online and paying the $25 transfer fee. Paid $515 shipped and transfer for my MOE.
