    44 Magnum Turns 70!

Beautiful 29 and very nice lumber ! I don't own a 29 of any vintage but every time you post a photo of one I think its time !

4 Screw Non-model Marked K-38 CM, FIVE INCH, Letter arrived

That is a dream gun for me. My favorite post war Smith is the K-38 Heavy Masterpiece, (shot one of mine today) and any variation of it. A five nice gun is on my list. That’s a beauty.

I just tapped attach files and and that is what I got. I would prefer full size also but didn’t know that I could. Just being able to post a pic direct is a real treat !

    This place

Is a great place ! A huge thanks to Lee and the moderators! Whatever needs to be done to hopefully make it more profitable and easier to maintain is just fine with me. Family makes a home not the house. Threw in a random snap to see how that works.

    Model 16

Beautiful gun, would love to have one. The K-38 Heavy Masterpiece is my favorite post war Smith and I shoot one nearly every week, if I had the 32 it would come along also and I would do my best to wear it out !

    K22 ?

It’s from tight chambers and/or ammunition that is a bit on the plus side of tolerance. Either one can cause the case to drag on the recoil shield, with enough drag you can fully cock the revolver but the hand will be forced past but not fully advance the cylinder. I have observed it and I did...

    44s with Carved/Inlaid Stocks

The only way those grips could get any better is perhaps if they were ivory ! I have a bunch of images of these and look at them often. Absolute treasure.

    More McGiverns

Absolutely smashing ! I didn't buy one in front of me many years ago and admit I didn't really know just what I was looking at, really wish I had made a leap of faith. Don't scrimp on photos ! Post a few more please.

    A correction.

Thinnes, those are not mine but an original set from the master himself Mathias Gagne. They were on the gun when I acquired it, they fit well and look good but obviously not original. And the gun shoots nice with them !

    A correction.

Recently I posted this gun gun with a letter that was an even 300,000 numbers off ! Idiot ! A corrected letter is in hand and imagine that, it added 16 years to the gun making the features fit. My only excuse is I had 7-8 other guns on the bench, not much of an excuse but there it is, anyway...

    14-3 decision

Looks like a nice one, I paid more for a NIB one after getting tired of looking. It replaced one I sold many years ago for 250.00 and it took a couple years to get it sold.

crosshatch pattern on rib of mod 67

Its how it was photographed I believe, the way it’s lit and how the light is reflected. I see the same effect in pics on gunbroker sometimes.

What did you pay (and when) for your .38 Special M & P Model of 1905 revolver?

My first right, off the forum years ago, paid 535.00 I believe which was a fair price at the time. It wore incorrect stocks at the time (fully disclosed) and I couldn’t have been happier! I’ve fired thousands of rounds through it and it’s directly responsible for my addiction to the M&P Targets.
