So I couldn't find any 8 round M&p shield M2.0 mags so I got mags for the 1st gen m&p shield and my question is....is it normal for one mag to load a little stiff to where I have to slap the butt of the mag to lock

I hope someone can help me...I just recently bought a S&W M&P Shield 9mm M 2.0 and i just got a spare mag in the mail today but it says its for the M&P shield 9mm wondering if the mag would work in my pistol? or do i have to try and find M&P Shield 9mm M 2.0 mags?

Right where my finger is at is where it's either a split or crack. I noticed it yesterday after I shot some 124 gr through it. its not growing and i dont see any gaps..i was wondering what it could be as im new to owning a gun
