Thanks Jack,
The S&W paper doesn't give dates just stated K-22 Masterpiece-Model 18 from my previous papered gun.
I will have the have the 22 combat masterpiece papered and I'm sure that will reflect what you said. Thanks for the info,
Al
What I was trying to say is by the old forum post taking only the K32 combat masterpiece into consideration that I think the K32 combat masterpiece was a cut down barrel of the k32 masterpiece at the factory and the 4'' barrel was not factory made at that time due to such a small demand for the...
Thanks Jack,
I was just wondering about the M 14-K32- combat Masterpiece "no model no". If you type in the info on the Illussive gun it will take you to where the person who found one and had it papered and other info. If I understand it correctly the guy had it papered and Roy Jinks called the...
Hi Jack,
I do see the subtle difference and I was only going by the stamp 16. Amazing of the knowledge here. And I do appreciate all the effort and info you gave to a newbe just learning about the S&W. Actually the first S&W I ever owner was the K-32 ,M 16 Masterpiece and the newly purchased...
K-32 combat Masterpiece
If I understand it correctly the K-32 masterpiece 6'' bbl was cut down to 4'' at the S&W factory at the request of customers asking for a 4'' bbl creating the K-32 combat Masterpiece ?
the reason I think the 16 was stamped over a 15
Hi Jack,
From my S&W paper from Roy G. Jinks: " Smith & Wesson over stamped both model 14 & Model 15 frames in completing Model 16 as they produced so few frame for just the model16."
I looked closely at the stamp 16 under a magnifying glass it...
K-22 combat masterpiece-Model 18
Hi Jack,
I may have confused things by you not understanding that I just purchased the K-22 combat masterpiece-Model 18 with 4'' bbl. 1952 date by serial no. from the same lady for the same price. thanks for your input
I lucked into the Mp K-16,32cal. I have better results than the model 18 ,1952 Combat MP 4'' BBL maybe because it's older than my 3k 1972 and I just acquired the M18 K-22. Thanks for your imput.
Hi TAROMAN,
How do I get a photo of my ship patch posted? I didn't see in my profile how to do that. or anyone out there any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your long service to our country Taroman
Hey Brucev thanks for the imput. I have the M16,32 cal and Model 18 combat Masterpiece. K-22 1952. I wouldn't have thought the combat series would be as accurate.
I think some of the insainly good shooters it becomes instinct. Of course I can't see how they keep from dying from lead poisoning...
