I keep a plastic gun in my bedroom safe. At 35 I much prefer more wood grips and blued steel. So typically I'm buying either a revolver, or my ultimate weakness, another 1911.

I tried it in mine and had a lot of light strikes, eventually gave up and put a bcm in it.

I have 2 with safeties. 9mm. A PC which is at 5.5# and a standard shield with Apex trigger which runs 4.8# regularly. The apex was way better than the standard trigger, but between the PC and Apex, I'd be happy with either. Both of these guns have over 2k rounds through them in their current state.
