I've owned several dozen over the last 40 years. Have 4 at the moment. I take care of about a dozen for local shooters, so I usually keep spare parts on hand. Register over at m14forum.com That's where most of us hang out.

Excellent condition. Includes everything shown and all internal parts. Warning on right side is very faint. This will fit on a 4556, 4586 or 4546 frame. Does not fit on TSW frames or the 4516, 4566 or 4506. $300 plus $10 shipping.

1. All wheel guns should be .45 caliber. 2. The only cartridge useful in a 4" barrel is the .45acp/AR. Get yourself some .45AR cartridges from Buffalo Bore.

I have always felt that the Mountain Gun should have a 5" tapered barrel, not 4.

i had one a long time ago. It's the only 40 S&W I ever considered to be worth carrying. I only sold it because I don't handload or reload the cartridge. Get yourself some Buffalo Bore ammunition. The pistol was built for it.

If you are using the revolver for defensive purposes, Buffalo Bore makes some awesome 45AR ammunition.

There was a 5" Performance Center model with the lug milled off in stages. Possibly the 625-7. I believe the cylinder release was changed mid production of the 625-4, in the 90's.

I prefer the 3rd Generation DAO pistols. I carried a 4553TSW for a few years, but removed the crappy rail so that it would fit the same holster as my 4556's. I still qualify with a 4546 and 4556 and carry one almost daily. The trick to using a hammer fired DAO is simple... learn how to shoot. 😉

With few exceptions, factory ammunition is garbage. They put anemic amounts of dirty powder under poorly made bullets. I stocked up on enough quality 9mm and 45 components years ago, when things were plentiful and inexpensive. I can keep handloading for years to come.

SCOTUS needs to affirm that public places are where the public needs to be able to protect itself. Public transportation, public parks, etc. These should not be considered sensitive areas.
