Picked this up...pre-war lend/lease "Victory"? Serial # 916322 matching on bottom of grip frame, cylinder and barrel. 38 S&W CTG; Made in USA; WB, P and "bomb" stamped on bottom of grip frame; "United States Property" stamped on top; hammer and trigger case hardened; smooth wood grips; NZ 2921...

Just brought home this brand new S&W Model 66-8 4.25" .357 Magnum. Had ordered online and picked up at my local FFL. And....the barrel is jacked. Take a look. Is this normal?

If I'm not mistaken, stippling on the rear removable grip is acceptable for IDPA/SSP. However, permanent alternations to the frame would make it illegal for IDPA/SSP. That said, your good to go in IDPA/ESP with whatever stippling you have anywhere on the pistol.
