I called s&w regarding this issue last month and they said they no longer ship any guns in the aluminum cases one reason being that they had issues with the guns getting locked in the case and not opening.

I will be getting a 627 PC soon and was thinking about getting the CT laser grip (this will be my home defence weapon and I'll take it to the range for practice) I wanted to know if anyone has put the laser grip on an N frame as I see that S&W only offers the factory set up on the smaller...
