    I was too broke (or too cheap) to spend $100 for a good holster. So, I read a few books; watched a few videos and made my own:

    Restoring a holsters luster.

    Apply and buff two coats of Kiwi neutral shoe polish. Didn't give the finish you want? Apply Fiebings deglaze and apply two coats of Tandy's Satin Shene with appropriate drying time between coats. Then use Kiwi neutral shoe polish brushed and buffed. Should look brand new.

    Shield Trigger Reset has double click

    My new Shield 9mm does the same thing. It has about 200 rounds through it and it is still very distinct. First, a click then what feels like a reset but is not. Then, the real reset. Very annoying.
