My 1911PD with the 4.25 barrel also tosses a round off the top my hat. Did also notice a dent in the spent shell case as well. Have not contacted S&W at this time but will at some point.

I picked up a #108283 this Spring for $829 cash plus tax. Received my $100 rebate check six weeks later.
