    Miss January, 1956

Yup, Chuck, I still have the HP and some paperwork from Front Royal Supply. I have also added two Evaluators guns to my collection, both documented Van Orden Snipers, Model 70s purchased from Evaluators. Oddly, I shot many of my registered International Skeet birds at the Quantico range.

Thanks for the post about the Fitz trigger guard cutout. I remember that from the early days. No, the gun in question has not been Fitzed in that way. The search continues.

    Miss January, 1956

Almost two years since I have discussed the "grail gun" that Chuck and I are pursuing. One poster opined that the grail gun could possibly have become a Fitz gun. I don't know what a Fitz gun is, but I'm sure it has something to do with originality. Chuck and I haven't discussed originality...

What we find when we move

My "box" is about three or four drawers in an antique apothecary chest. I moved 2 1/2 years ago and still have those drawers full of holsters. The Bianchi 2100 shoulder rigs are too neat to give away, so I guess I should learn to use ebay or gunsinternational. It will be a treasure trove for...

    Smith and Wesson Highway Patrolman

My first S&W was a new 4" HP serial number S276334, bought in 1966 from S&W distributor Front Royal Supply in Front Royal, VA. I had been buying guns and ammunition for my club members from them since I was a mid teenager, but this was the first S&W for me. The price was $69.00. Kenny Haag...

1936 Registered Magnum ordered by Joseph Lorch

The Walfords were sporting goods dealers in Washington, D.C. at 625 and 909 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W. I am not familiar with the Walfords as Colt or S&W dealers. but they appear as the vendors of many Parker shotguns in Parker Gun Collectors Association letters of provenance.

Ted Williams' Pre War .38 HE

I know a lot about Sears products, since I am 73 years old and have lived in the Washington, D.C. area all my life. Ted spent a bit of his career here and made a relationship with some gun people here. His Model 21 Winchester was left in the hands of one of his friends here and I really need...

    Miss January, 1956

It's been a couple of years since Chuck "29-1" and I have discussed the grail gun that we are pursuing. I understand that Chuck has disposed of the "Miss Guns" but I am not sure of that. I am not a Smith and Wesson collector, but am assisting Chuck in his and my search for an important gun...

Found an old box of 30.06

I recently bought an early Model 54 Winchester from Cowan's Auction in Cincinnati. I would love to own that box of shells to go with my new gun. They look pretty expensive. Let me know. [email protected] Thanks, Bill Murphy in MD.
