In Kentucky I found ammo at a gun shop in bowling green. No luck at the local Wally Mart there. North Carolina, got ammo at Wal Mart.

Stopped at another Wally World close to DFW, 9 called north Richland Hills, and they had tons of ammo. None on friday, but a whole bunch on saturday. Got 6 boxes of 9mm for 8.97 each.

Since I am traveling I always stop and check the Walmarts. Right here by the airport, the Walmart on 4100 W. airport fwy road in Irving TX has .357, .44's, and 9's. Maybe the ammo crisis is starting to lighten up?

Dont remember, I got .40 and .38 rounds. Way more than Walmart prices, but Walmart never has the .38's.

Mine likes everything, hollowpoint or not.

I am on the road traveling and stopped by a shop in Bowling Green KY called "Guns N More", and they had a bunch of ammo. I got some .38's and some .40's. They have a one box per caliber limit but thats okay. They had all kinds and even different brands in the calibers I was buying to choose...

Thanks everybody! Got the trailer axle fixed and made it to the race in Norwalk Ohio. Am now in Bowling Green TN. Will be racing at the NHRA Hot Rod Reunion this weekend. Think I will check out some of the gun shops here in Bowling Green.

Federal Premium 125 grain nyclad HP!

I got a box of Federal Premium ammo right here that I used to load up my older .38. They are 125 grain nyclad HP. Not plus P ammo. Kinda pricey at $23.95 for a box of 20, but they look real good.

I have been lucky to get some 9mm and .40 cal but no luck getting .38's.

I bought a bunch of silica gel, (you know, the stuff that says "do not eat" that you get in your electronics) and store my ammo in a sealed can with the silica gel to absorb moisture. i am told it should last forever. Then again, I live in california and there is no humidity.

I just bought two boxes from Midway for my 1940 Victory model S & W.

I got a bunch in .38 and it works great.
