    i picked up a set of roll pin punches on amazon for this and future needs. i got it today and saw that the 1/8" was a little too big for the pin and went for the 3/32" which was the perfect fit. a couple of punches with the hammer and in it went. it took less than a minute to fix. i didnt apply...

    Picked up an M&P 22 and now a problem

    what size punch to use for this roll pin? I am looking to buy one now. I thought about using a good old fashioned steel hammer for this job :D I guess I could use more caution with the punch... I would still use a hammer, correct? I never used or seen a punch before.

    Thank you all for the input. Good to know this is repairable. I wanted to avoid sending this to the manufacturer at my expense as I now know this is a quick fix. I will attempt to push this pin back in place. Hopefully other pins do not pop out. Its indeed a great gun. Just one bad blemish.
