A little foaming bore cleaner and a toothbrush took the soot off the frame and forcing cone.
A few PMs clarified that the now 17 likes were mostly for me and some for the '66. Thanks to all the well wishers.
I have either a trade or sale pending.

Hello, recently suffered a heart attack. Actually died, but am on the mend. I’m/will be in a weakened condition, and my .45 and .357 are too much gun for me.
I have a mint ~1975 M66 no dash .357 2.5 stainless, pinned barrel, no box. Added T-Grip makes this strong revolver controllable.

Here it is with the Pachmyr grips. Tried 24 rounds of Fiochi magnum. All I can say is that I'm glad I had them. I haven't shot magnum in 7 years. I'll stick to +P for carry loads. I'm color blind, and the combination of orange front sight and orange made it hard to see and caused the stringing.

As a Federal LE half a lifetime ago I carried a M66 no dash 4" with Pachmyr grips. I got the snubbie so I could carry it; I'll use Remington +P 125gr SJHP. Back in the day we used...
When did S/W first start making the model 66 (no dash)? I carried one as Federal LE way back in the day. Waiting for them to become C&R. Late '70s, early '80s?

Hello folks,
I'm looking for a new carry piece to replace my Colt Detective. I really prefer S/W, having carried one as LE back in the '90s. I'm thinking of a M36...
What SN range would be 1967? That's the year I was born. 600K?
