Thanks Bruce, I called S&W this morning. Revolver is on hold, now to scare up a cylinder.

Looking for a servicable recessed cylinder for a S&W Mod 29-2, finish not an issue.

Recessed Cylinder Thank you all for yor insight and advice. I wasn't feeling right about having a different type cylinder put in, I have put a lot of rounds through this revolver and while a non recessed may work fine I wanted to stick with what it had originally.

I have recently sent my Model 29-2 back to Smith and Wesson to be evaluated and refinished. The cylinder is expanded and the forcing cone is badly eroded, they recomend replacing the cylinder however new cylinders are not rcessed. Has anyone else had this done and are there recessed cylinders...
