I checked some videos on the BG 38 revolver to get an idea of when the insignia was changed. It appears that the insignia was changed sometime around mid 2014. This is also about the time they changed to the Crimson Trace laser as best I can see.

Does anyone know when S&W changed the insignia on the side of the Bodyguard 38? Photos show the S&W insignia on the side of the BG 38 but the BG 38 I picked up today has "M&P" where the S&W insignia used to be.

First, I have a very quiet life and I don't look for trouble. I am left handed and the ankle holster would be easier to get to while driving. It would also be available if something happened to my primary carry. I just need to be prepared in the unlikely event that I need to use a backup gun.

How useful is an ankle holster for the non-LEO ccw person? Is there an advantage or is it a hindrance to use an ankle holster? This is for a BUG and not the primary carry weapon.

Did you notice that he said in the link that the Bodyguard 38 can be dry fired with the cylinder open unlike the J Frames?

Has anyone done a trigger job on the Bodyguard 38 revolver? Or had one done by a competent gunsmith? I took a look at this article and it reminds me of what my limitations are. I can do a lot with a gun but not this. I can see a pile of parts if I were to try to do a trigger job. This...
