I like the looks of the Bulldog and I like the big bore concept. Also, lately I’m getting into revolvers.
But, the big question for me is the recoil. I don’t think I am particularly recoil sensitive but I am getting older. For example, I have an S&W model 640 and I cannot tolerate shooting 357...
Here is a fluted Alpha Wolf 9mm conversion barrel for a Glock 23 (40s&w) and Glock 32 (357sig). It is a drop-in fit and requires no fitting. I have used it my G23 and G32 and it has functioned flawlessly thru approximately 300 rounds of mixed FMJ and JHP. No change in recoil spring required...
I especially don’t like the following on nice 1911’s:
Forward slide serrations
Accessory rails
Square trigger guards
Big, honkin magwells (small OK)
Threaded barrels
Grips with ladies, snakes, or Latin words on them
For sale, a leather IWB holster for the model 3913. Made by Ross Leather in South Africa. RH draw in a rich brown color. Used very little and in very good condition.
Price is $90 shipped CONUS. Venmo preferred but will accept Zelle, discrete PP, money order or check from forum member.
I’m a certified instructor and last year moved away from groups to exclusively private instruction (mostly women and/or first timers). I have witnessed firsthand how subjective felt recoil is. Some are recoil sensitive and opt for Sig P365-380 or G42. Others of similar size annd apparent hand...
For me, “current circumstances “ equates to more of a capacity question than caliber. Seems like bad guys are acting in concert with others, like a team or a mob. Even the current trend of “jugging” usually involves at least two to roll up on an ATM user. In Chicago now a team of 3 or 4 stops...
I was wanting a 432UC until I started reading about all the problems people are having with the UC guns. Revolvers used to be regarded as the gold standard in reliability. S&W fixed that. Im going to sit this one out.
I have a Glock 42 in .380 which I carry IWB on rare occasions in the Summer when it gets really hot and I wear only a light t-shirt. It’s highly underrated IMHO compared to the more popular Bodyguard 2.0 or LCP. It is light, naturally dehorned, and with a readily available +2 mag extension...
