I am in need of replacing the firing pin on my K22 Model 17-2 ...the firing pin is frame mounted with cross pin. I cannot find anywhere pictures or a video of the firing pin frame mounted being replaced ....can anyone help? Thanks in advance..

Those are nice little accurate revolvers...two years ago i picked up a three digit serial# bearcat at a pawn for $300. I called Ruger and its a first year production... Its a keeper.

No i didn't take off the side plate the gun is new .Def the firing pin is stuck out which is causing the problem. I dropped it off at Fed/ex already.
Thanks for your reply....the revolver is packed for shipment back. The gun was cleaned so there is nothing to see as far being dirty from the factory. The firing pin is def stuck and i was told by S&W that they have had new guns returned with this problem. Sorry for posting this in the wrong...
You sound like an angry guy.... yes i do own a bunch of S&W revolvers registered magnums Pre-model 27's Model 19's 10's i haven't purchased a new S&W revolver in over 20 years that's why i asked.
