    44 mag 200 gr.RNFP load

    Tomorrow is 629 day

I have two No Dash M/629's, a 4" that's been Magna-ported and a 6" that appears to be unfired. The 4" is my nightstand gun loaded with Black Talon HP's. Both guns have presentation cases, currently looking for an 8 3/8" No Dash to complete the set.

    Re-marking of rebored barrel

I recently acquired a Highway Patrolman that had been converted to .44 Magnum using a M/24 barrel, I drawfiled the .44 Special marking off and had the .44 Magnum marking pantograph engraved and the barrel rust blued to match the rest of the M/28's brushed blue. The project turned out very well.

    Installing/Replacing a Front Sight Insert - Tips...

I use two triangles of business card with double stick tape, contains the the epoxy/pigment and peels off clean & easy when done. No release agent nor vise grips needed. Learned this method from a Pachmyer gunsmith 50 years ago been using it ever since. Made my first insert out of a...

    44 Special to Magnum

For nearly 50 years now I have been shooting 7.5gr. of Unique with a 200gr. RNFP bullet in my 4" M/29's and 629's, if I want a little more power I up the charge to 9.0gr. I use the same charges in my .44 Special S & W's, easy on the shooter and the guns.

    44 magnum recoil tolerance

Back in the Dirty Harry days (mid 1970's) I shot my share of wrist torquing loads. For several years now I have been shooting the Skeeter Skelton load of 7.5gr. of Unique with a 200gr. RNFP Cowboy Bullet. When I want a little more power I up the charge to 9.0gr. When introducing junior...

    Method of payment notice...........

When selling an item and only accept electronic payment, this should be noted in your ad. I recently did a deal where both parties agreed to a price, then when I asked for an address where the seller would like me to send my funds he said that he only accepted PayPal. He renegged on the...

    Unique and the 44mag

I've been loading Unique in .44 Special and .44 Magnum for 50 years now, the load that I shoot most often is 7.5gr. of Unique with a 200gr. RNFP Cowboy bullet. If I want a little more power I up the charge to 9.0gr., haven't shot bullets heavier than 200gr. in many years. My shooting has been...

My M28-2 .44 SPL Conversion Got Derailed

Last year I acquired a M/28-2 4" that had been converted to .44 Magnum using a M/24 barrel and rechambering the HP cylinder. The project was incomplete in that the barrel still bore the M/24 .44 Special caliber marking. I drawfiled the markings off and had gunsmith Jim Kobe pantograph engrave...
