After looking at the short mag i noticed one of the edges are messed up. This mag worked fine until this happened. I am assuming the pressure in the gun caused this?

Maybe i am overreacting a bit but the thought of buying a gun and its been out of service longer than i have had it is frustrating. I am sending it back with as much detail along with it as possible. Hopefully this will be taken care of soon. I really miss having my gun.
It was factory white box ammo either purchased from walmart or a local gun shop. My friend who was also shooting that days was there with his .40 and had reloads. There is a possibility that it could be one of his loads; however, i don't think it is.
