Feelin pretty spry at 74 until my grandson ask if I fought for the North or the South. Guess I must be ancient to him. LOL. All started when I showed him my Daisy 25 pump from back around 61-62. Thought that was the gun I fought with! Don't think I would have lasted very long.
Never mind what should have been made. Best stuff was Second and Third Gen made of metal!! Imagine how many of the Tactical and CS-9-45 series would fly off the shelves still today even at inflated prices.
Limit my purchases to around $100 or less. often the price of some blades out there I find mind boggling. Ben packing a Sog Trident AT folder or a Buck 110. Seem to cut as well as the others.
Back in 69 I recall filling my clunker 65 Mustang for around $6. probably .30 cents a gallon. Smokin Marlboro's for around .35 cents a pack! Man can't believe more than a century has passed! Found after school work and bought my first 10/22 Ruger. Slightly used for $45. Only thing I got left...
Ha! Been 55 years for me too. Only one friend left from the high school days I see often. Can't believe how many have passed away! Miss those days of the mid 60s to around 70. Some of my old hunting woods are long gone due to building roads and houses. Miss the old Drive-Ins that cost $2 per...
Haven't been in years. I should attend one this year even if just for a laugh. Prices kinda shocked me even 8 years back and now worse. That $45 Mossberg 22 bought new should not be worth $350 because it ain't made no more. Did get a deal on a pistol cleaning kit at $14 and that was about it.
