.270 Win / .22 lr water jug testing.

    1) Testing for depth of penetration, expansion and weight retention / bullet construction. Also because I couldn't find any similar videos and just for some morning shooting fun ! 2) The jugs simulate....well...jugs. :p I don't know that there is any real comparison at all to living flesh but...

No, I just meant a different slug load...nothing really "new" about it. That's a good idea for the water jugs and especially in winter, just might have to try it this year !

Thanks. You are absolutely correct about the penetration depth. i noticed it when editing the final video, but since I can't change what my big mouth spouted while making it...decided just to leave it in and hope nobody noticed. LOL :p Hope to try a couple pistol rounds soon (just harder to do...

    9mm load data please

Yes, this question again....I know, I know... But I am looking for a specific combination here, and cannot find it in my load books. 124gr XTP (hard to get hollowpoints up here, this was all the local shop had) Bullseye powder (I have 8lbs of it to use up) Current match load is 3.5grs under...

Magazine Safety or No Magazine Safety

Totally agree with your last line there. But just to add to the first part... 2001 Manitoba RCMP Const. Dennis Strongquill was killed in the line of duty. The reason...as a left-handed shooter, he accidentally hit the mag release on his duty weapon while trapped in his cruiser, disabling it...

    Best Mag carriers for IDPA,USPSA

I added a pic there DD48 (it just happens to show a M&P as well) ... one of the things I liked the most with the Comp-Tac gear is the mag pouch fixes that exact issue you mentioned ! Raven's products are great though as well. :)

    9mm "service" load suggestions

3.4grs of Titegroup under a 147gr Berry's RN works great in my M&P. I am one of those "game players" though (IDPA) and the 147's make power factor easily. I use Lee dies for reloading 9mm, .40 and .45 with no complaints. In .40 and .45 I have the crimp separate from the seating die, but in 9mm...

Request diagnostic help on tumbling issue

Overloaded... had the same results once when I did tried to save time on a big batch of brass, just run 'em through again or shoot them as is (they are still clean..just not as shiny). :)
