    Need help with Victory Model

I have the Victory Model stamped U.S. Navy that my father carried as a PBM pilot in WWII and it needs assistance. Sometime along the way, it lost the proper grips and the lanyard ring. I would like to replace them but have no idea where to look. Anyone have any ideas on places to look/shop...

    Need Powder ID

You cannot tell from looking what powder that is. To guess would be foolish. I never shoot someone elses reloads, period. Especially gun show reloads. Salvage the components and dump the powder. MD

    38/44 Heavy Duty DOB

I just purchased a well used but not abused 38/44 Heavy Duty. It is sporting a rather odd looking brown/grey patina but the mechanicals are tight and positive. I am looking for the DOB on this revolver, SN is S 95789. Thanks Mdaly

    V Model Smith birthday

Actually, this revolver is stamped U.S. NAVY on the left top strap. I should have included that little bit of information. I know where the revolver came from. This revolver was issued to a young Lieutenant JG who was the lead pilot on a Martin Mariner (PBM ) flying boat. These guys hunted...

    Less Felt Recoil With....

Felt recoil is purely subjective and individual. No one can predict how another person will perceive how a specific load feels. It is possible to calculate recoil but that has nothing to do with how it will feel. Chamber pressure has nothing to do with either imperic, or calculated recoil nor...

What guns have you regreted selling?

I regret selling or trading or having had stolen ....Every single one. I wish I had them all still. My current boss has a wonderful philosophy that I wish I had known about much earlier. "Never sell a gun. Soon you will not have the gun and you will not have the money." I have found this...

    5.56 brass?????????

Don't forget that the price payed for scrap brass is quite high. Save all brass that is of no use to you. Toss it into a 5 gal. bucket until the bucket is full. Take it to the scrap metal dealer and he will give you money for it. Use this money to buy brand new brass. I even sweep up the 22...
