I have a 40 shield and have done the conversion with the 9 barrel and 9 mags, worked fine for me as well as many others on this forum without changing the recoil spring. The only issue is finding a barrel. Guns and gear in Agawam, Ma. seems to be the only place to buy the barrel. They get them...
