update
New extractor spring from Wolff came in and I installed it. Both reloaded and factory rounds now will go into battery and eject without any problem.
I used my 1/16 brass punch inserted from the hole in top of the slide through the hole in the extractor and out the bottom hole of the...
Thanks for the reply
Thanks to all that replied. Sevens, good point about the pin hole being small enough were the pin can not work its way out. I wanted to make sure the direction of removal and replacement before attempting to replace the spring.
Thanks
Robert
Went to range to test a series of loads for my SW 39-2 and had some good results.
Loaded up some rounds and back to range were had trouble with round going into battery. Looked at slide and the extractor seems to be lower than it should be. See Fig 1.
If I move he extractor by hand the round...
I used to shoot Bullseye (now called Precision) and for the most part always shot factory Winchester. I decided to start shooting again in some local leagues, however; the price of factory pushed me to reloading(which I have done for rifles).
I found this post doing a literature search for...
Worked in my 945 with great results
As most of us are having trouble finding powder, I happened to come across this article during a search. My supplier had N310 on hand and I purchased a can for experimentation. I tried 3.7, 3.8 and 3.9 grains for my 185 Laser Cast SWC in my Smith Wesson...
Video Demonstration
Hi
There is a video on Utube that provides a pretty good overview and demonstration of reloading Ponsness-Warren DuoMatic 375. This video details the use of the reloading press and also a few of its better features.

Thanks to all for the advice on reloading for the 32 Smtih and Wesson Long.
Last year I made a decision to change over to the 32 Smith and Wesson Long for the center fire part of Bullseye competition. Part of this decision was made because I also compete in ISSF...
Actually after some more research I found Unique (which I currently use in my shotshell loads) to have a fairly large load range for a 98 gr. LWC from around 2.2 to 2.7 grains which would be another consideration. I typically like to stay on the low end to reduce muzzle jump. Trail Boss does...
Thank you HK for the information. This is the first time I am loading such a small caliber and even smaller amounts of powder. Glad to hear people have had good results with HP38.
Hi Ivan
Thanks for responding. I have had good luck with HP38/WW231 in several of my firearms. Firearm? My wife has taken an interest in shooting. I took her to an ISSF match and she fell in love with the format/range. She immediately claimed my SW 41 and 52 as hers which left me without...
Hi
Well I am in the process of converting over to shooting a 32 SW long in my center fire matches. I have Lapua brass and Lapua 98 grain lead wadcutter bullets. My powder cabinet has HP38, Titegroup and Universal Clays which are listed on Hodgdon's site. There is only a 0.2 grain difference...
Ok, I started playing around with a few other openings on my loader and found one that will throw a 3.2 grain charge conistently. I called Lee and Hodgdon technical support. Both said to load by grain and look for 3.2 grains. The guy from Lee indicated the VMD is to make sure that shooters...
Thank you Titegroups and Rsrocket1 for replying
A few clarrifications:
Statistics: I use 20 single powder measurements for my analysis to ensure enough degrees of freedom. The powder throws for each opening are very consistent. For example, of 20 throws only two (2.9 and 3.1) were outside of...
I currently am using 3.2 grains of Universal Clays for a Magtech 148 gr LWC for my 38 Special that I use for Bullseye competition.
The first purchase of Universal Clays I used the Lee Loader VMD formula (powder opening (0.34) / powder charge (3.2 gr)) equaled 0.10625. After weighing I did find...
Return to Bullseye
Hi Abouttrout
Glad to hear that you are shooting again. I believe that Smith and Wesson makes a laminated set of target grips for the Model 22A. I think they list for $74 on the SW website. You may find a cheaper set on Ebay or Gun Broker or pehaps at a gun show. I found...
