I could see synthetic stocks on lever guns, but a .45-70? If one has not shot one, they will find out quickly what recoil is.
A red dot would be good for fast and easy shooting, in addition to the buckhorn sights. Someone has lost their ever-loving mind to spend $7-10k on a lever gun.
Just got my 1977 era nickel version with box and papers, along with 4 S&W mags. I was surprised at how good the DA trigger is but the SA is really good. Now to put the range time in to shrink my groups down.
