I purchased a S&W Model-13-1 in good condition, it has not been shot much, the trigger in DA is the best I have owned, SA is very good also. It shoots to the point of aim and is a pleasure to shoot. The 13-1 I did not see to many on this forum is it not a favorable model or just not that many made?

I have a M&P 15OR and want to mount a Leupold 3x9, what is the best set of rings for the money. I would just use rings and if so how tall of rings? Or is it best to use a one piece ring set that is offset toward the front of the gun?

Thanks for the reply, I have seen the Sport in my area for $600, my thoughts at first were to build an AR but at that price I can have another upper with a varmint barrel. I have done some research on different triggers and will someday want to upgrade the trigger.

I am looking for a 357 for everyday carry, the Model 640 looks pretty close to what I am looking for. The 686 with a 2.5" barrel would work, however looks to big to carry everyday. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Competitive shooting? I am not sure what type of competitive shooting there is in my area, and I know nothing about it. I would get involved just to get better at shooting, so maybe you suggest something. The idea of get a stock 686 and shot it to see if it need an action job makes sense.
