    Rex Firearms Co. ?

I have a Jink's letter that indicates at least 10 Gold Plated Model 36s were shipped to Rex in Feb 1972.

    Gold Plated Model 36---Thoughts? Value?

I do not have the original grips---but I agree with you. It has been shot but not much--I have "A" box--not original--but period correct. Has original Model 36 paperwork. Don't know where to carry it unless it was WELL concealed! Not sure I can stand the conversations--:) Will try to post...

    Gold Plated Model 36---Thoughts? Value?

In another thread, I posted this picture. I now have the LETTER. Mr. Jinks calls it a "Special Variation"--sent for plating before shipment. Anybody seen anything like this before? I bought just because it was different.

    Chief's Special

ANY IDEAS ON THIS ONE??? Found this in a local gun shop. Allegedly refinished by S& W. Already invested in the letter. Waiting on it! Just really strange looking---had to have it.

.455 British Svc Revolver Research Thread

SER #--32589 I bought this as a shooter rather than a collector. I believe it to be a heavily modified .455 HE Model II. It is now .45 LC--work was expertly done and the action is SLICK. I have asked for the letter just for information.
