No other parts were broken. Seems like the diameter of the end of the spring is too loose and will come of rod if spun. I was actually able to reinstall it.

Nice! definitly will do. But do people take the spring off the rod to clean and oil? Looks like the spring kinda threads on the collar.

Hello, I'm new on here and have a question for someone maybe knowledgeable on this subject. The outter spring for my guide rod came off while field stripping. I reinstalled the spring back on the rod and the pistol slides fine. But my main question is, is that normal for the spring to come off...
