For what it is worth, I have the M&P in the 45 Full size and the compact. I have put about 300-400 rounds through both in the last month. I can shoot equally well with either one inside 30'. At 75+ I'm a bit better with the Full. With the Crimson Trace on the Full turned on I am much more...

Update, I got word from Lasermax that it does not fit the M&P Compact models. Anyone have ideas for a good, low profile laser for a M&P compact with 4" barrel?

I am looking for a laser sight for the 45 M&P Compact, 8rd mag. The Lasermax says it needs 1.75" rail. That is very close on the compact version. Anyone using one on the compact? (4" barrel") Crimson race for compact does not fit the 45.

Update... Did some more reading. The Crimson Trace LAser sight is not compatible with the safety version of this gun. That seems odd. If the safety is on the left side (Right hand shooter), seems like the right side would be clear for the laser. I think it is a reversible safety so the off...
