As for the cost question I meant as far as money invested would I be better off purchasing a 9mm version rather than converting a .40. After checking out Buds Gunshop I'm leaning towards that option.
I own an SW99 in .40 cal. I've seen on the Walther boards and in the FAQ website info about the threaded barrel to accept a suppressor or flash guard for the P99. Can these barrels be used in an SW99 of similar caliber?
Sounds like a great deal. I recently bought a .40 version and it came with only 1 of the 2 advertised 10 round mags. I have since rectified that issue with 3 new 12 rounders and am always looking out for more.

I've normally used nylon "soft armor" type holsters in the past and my recent experiences with a Fobus paddle type wasn't a good one. I'd be willing to consider leather as an option.
