I dry fire practice with a dime on front sight. If it falls off when you squeeze the trigger, you're doin' it wrong. use the tip of the trigger finger. Chuck

Same here, mainly because the wife dosen't really like the magnums with this gun. She was ok with a 4" 586, but I had to part with that one. Chuck

Another option may be a Model 19 or 66. They are K frames and a little smaller than the 686, bigger than the 60.
