Tried them, before suppressors finally became allowed in my State. On a shorty, all those "forward diverters" will do is very slightly slow down hearing loss, but they do make sandbags last longer.

I believe the OP was stating that he uses suppressors, and not muzzle brakes. Same here. I live along the Mississippi River; any brake I've incidentally acquired is immediately stored there, on the bottom, somewhere.
