Sirs-
I recently inherited a couple sets of stocks for guns I do not own. Brother-in-law had a pawn shop and I ended up with a bunch of very random stuff. I think the one set are N-Frame target stocks made from Goncalo Alves, but I cant figure out what the small set are even after perusing...
I got it off Gun Broker back in 2008 I think. It was unfired as far as I could tell. There used to be many 945-1's for sale on there and the wavy serrations caught my eye so I kept looking until I found one. Came with the aluminum case, but the outer case with the SKU sticker was not present...
Hey all-
I have a PC 1911 from 2006 that is SKU 170258 as far as I can find out. Looking on past and current auction on GB has yielded nothing for me as none of the guns in the system are of this SKU or vintage. The gun has about 1250 rounds through it (I keep a log). Has the PC aluminum...
Saw a 945-1 variant chart in another thread yesterday and went to look at mine. I had not shot it in several years and kinda forgot what it really looked like. I did remember the BAM serial number. Anyway, here are the pictures of the gun showing that it is the wavy serrations with no...
My 945-1
Reading this thread made me think about my 945-1 that has not been out of the safe in ages. I guess it is a 170222 SKU, but it does not have the billboard "945" on the slide. Serial number is BAM001x.
Sevens-
Thanks for the in depth analysis. I have a 5" PPC 9 and have been wanting an 845 for years to shoot in competition. Being currently in CA my opportunities are very limited in getting one. I have been thinking of posting my PPC 9 for trade on a CA gun board with the only acceptable...
Hey all-
Have not been following the trends lately, and the comparison in prices between two fairly rare PC guns is difficult at best. I am interested in educated opinions on the price difference between the two models. Assuming same condition and accessories what do you all think?
I believe that is called a "Shorty Nine" Not sure of the product#, but someone should be along shortly that knows all about it.
Here is a thread about it.

Well with a bunch of effort, I found a load that replicates the accuracy of 147 gr Federal HST rounds. The bad news is, in shooting all these different loads from sandbags I noticed a pattern if you will in how the rounds were grouping. The accuracy of the HST's is nothing to get excited about...
I do not have a recipe, but my 5" M&P is twice as accurate shooting 147 gr bullets than it is shooting 115 gr bullets. Get a reloading manual and don't go over the published data.
I guess I will slug the barrel when I get a chance. I looked at the crown, and although not the prettiest thing I have ever seen, nothing jumped out at me. If all the rounds were having issues I would think crown or oversized barrel, but the HST's were fantastic. I need to go back to the...
Hey all-
I just got my 929 back from Apex after having it all smoothed out and rigged for ICORE. I took it to the range and found that almost everything I shot out of it short of 147 gr HST left a lot to be desired in the accuracy department. Most of the 115 gr ammo I fired went through the...
I have not done a FSS from Apex, but I have done plenty of their sears. Are the springs the same size as your stock sear spring under the plunger? I think they give you a couple different sear springs in that kit to tune it to your liking.
