When will it end? Ammo shortage

Even if everyone gets vaccinated, the spread of Covid will not totally end but will get to the to the point where we will learn to live with it just like the common cold. That will in essence end the problems we've been dealing with for more than a year.

    A True .22 Story

Several years ago, due to an emergency, I had to leave my German Shepherd home alone all night for the first and only time. He'd managed to get into a box of 22's and chewed up a bunch. There were dents in many of the bullets from his teeth. We were both darned lucky he didn't blow a hole...

    Florida Stand Your Ground Shooting

In my opinion, anybody with that short of a fuse shouldn't be allowed to carry. Being shoved to the ground is no justification for taking someone's life. This sends a dangerous message to others carrying.

    Florida passes gun control measures

Between 2013 and 2015, an average of two school shootings took place at K-12 schools each month. Among shootings at K-12 schools in which the age of the shooter was known, 56 percent (39 of 70) were perpetrated by minors.

Register for the draft? They still do that? Where have I been? I think the military is a great place for some of these young people. Maybe it will get some of them headed in the right direction.

    Florida passes gun control measures

At least if they're in the military they're taught some discipline. At least I hope they are. And no, I don't trust most of them behind a wheel. Way too much texting while driving going on and I notice it especially in the younger drivers. And regarding voting, I remember when Jesse Ventura was...

    Florida passes gun control measures

Personally, there are very few 19 and 20 year olds I'd want to see with a gun. People seem much slower to mature nowadays than they did a few decades ago.

Trump has ordered a ban on bump stocks

You're comparing these tools to a weapon that can kill a dozen people in just a few minutes? That makes a whole lot of sense.

It's the 2% that worry me.

In MN it's just a carry permit. It can be concealed but doesn't need to be. In SD, anybody can carry without a permit as long it's not concealed.

It's the 2% that worry me.

Or, the second man didn't even have a permit.

Do you carry a flash light every day?

I always have a small one in my pocket. I just can't see turning on 3 basement lights just to get to the freezer in the furnace room. I use it whenever I go into a dark room just to get something. I figure my flashlight probably saves me at least $5 a month on my electric bill. Yep, I'm thrifty. ;)

    Armed

I carry only when visiting kids and grand kids in larger cities such as the Twin Cities and Sioux Falls. The town I live in is so safe that one time we were gone for 3 days and didn't notice that the overhead garage door went back up after we left. It was wide open for the whole time and nothing...

Brockport N.Y. Police attacked (by squirrel)

Not that uncommon in northern MN. Not as common as Fox, Gray and Pine squirrels of course.

Brockport N.Y. Police attacked (by squirrel)

They can be so much fun though. This young one showed up while putting in a patio. He loved to ride around on my shoulder. Eventually he turned wild and I no longer dared touch him.

I really don't know the answer to this.

That's interesting. In that case, I owned a K frame decades ago. All I remember is it was a 38, held 6 shots, and I couldn't hit the barn side of a broad with it.
