539....great gun!! That's an absolutely great deal for you !!!!!!!! You will not sell it once you've shot it a few times. 39 series are best "feeling" pistols I have ever shot, and if you get a nice one that shoots as reliably as mine do.....the next step will be a nice holster ! Steven

Just purchased my first DAO Smith autos. Bought a couple of 99% 3953's. The guns shoot left. The front sights on both are definitely off to the right on the slide. What's the best way to adjust these (stock Novak night sights). Am I best off trying to move the front sight a little to the left...

I shoot and carry 645's, 539's and 559's. I carry 230gr. ball in th 645 and standard vel. 147gr. jhp in the 9mm's. They are heavy...but have correspondingly low recoil. They don't have the best triggers.....which is offset by PRACTICE. They do do one thing, that no other handguns I own.....or...

Recently scored some 147gr. non +p Federal ST ammo for about $18.00/50. Went to the range today to se how it would feed in my 59 and 539. No issues whatsoever. Now the 59 will spend some time in my edc ccw rotation. Nice old school high-cap shooter. Steven B.

I saw a LNIB older model 39 "no-dash" with the long extractor in its original box with tools paper and paperwork at a show last saturday. They were asking $450. There was also a LNIB 645 complete as above for $499.00. It hurt to let this one go.....but I'm saving for another safe right now...

I really like my 645's. They are becoming my main carry pistols when a 49 in the pocket seems a little too little. I'm working on making a Sparks VM-II and a Tucker HF-1 work with them for EDC in various dress situations. They are the "poster child" of reliability in .45acp. Steven B.
