Thanks....yeah I saw that thread. I was just curious if the OP or anyone who has the M&P 9 (mine is an m2.0) has been able to move the front sight without a specialty tool....manual seems to say it can be done but like I said, all I accomplished was I bent my drift...LOL Plus -- I do not mind...

I know this is an OLD thread.....but wondering if the OP was able to get it to move? I tried a brass drift and tack hammer...carefully mounted the slide in my vise..... All I accomplished was I bent the drift....LOL

Thanks all for the advice. I have a couple thousand rounds of FMJ, just the 20 HPs... Like I said , God willing the HPs will never be needed.

Thanks to you both! It so happened that while passing through a town I was able to pick up a box of the Hornadays at what I figured was a fair price given the ammo situation today and I had bought a box. Had the chance to fire 4 rounds today of it. As far as sound, it didnt seem any different...

Anyone try the Hornady Subsonic 147 grain XTP cartridges in their M&P Shield M2.0? Wondering what the overall consensus was as far as choosing it for self defense.

Well, I ended up using a hole punch, per a tech at Hogue, to make a hole for the pad. That was fine, but during the (difficult) install that hole ripped. Not a huge deal...not the prettiest install I guess but functional. That was a PITA to get on!
