    New Colt Python

Comparing a New Python to a 40 - 60 year old 27-2 ain't a apples to apples comparison. I think, (myself included) that everyone on this site would rather have the older 27. Change the 27 to a new model with a lock, and mim parts, ( not opening the mim can of worms but some don't like it), and...

    My first Pre-war S&W

Thank you. Many years ago while looking at a less than desirable condition but otherwise a gun on my want list, a good friend said about the condition, "It's never going to get any better" I've taken that to heart and have passed and waited for better examples to come along many times. Paying...

    My first Pre-war S&W

Went to a gun show this weekend with low expectations. Saw a few interesting guns, visited w friends. Ended up bringing this 4th change M&P home. Serial # puts it at 1925 or so. Condition was acceptable to my eye, the action is right, and the price was good. My second 5 screw, first pre-war.

    Motorcycle Seat Advice

I'm in the firm saddle group. So Corbin. It has a provision for a back support which I don't have. also has an available pillion seat that doesn't get used. FYI you may need to change or at least move your handlebars after the seat change. I put Heritage bars on, it was a common upgrade back...

    Grips for model 41

I did not see a 41 in Herrett's gallery, I did see an advertisement in their history section for 41 stocks. Anyway here is a LH set of Herretts that were on a mid 70s 41 to compare. I do think they were purchased during that period but I have no evidence. They do not have the skip line...

    Shiny 59s

Didn't mean to imply that the grips were factory just that they are real Ivory. The blue gun had the factory blacks on it. The nickle had the factory blacks in the box.

    Shiny 59s

59 Ivory grips The Ivory grips are the real deal. Pistol dates to 1973 when Ivory hadn't yet achieved unobtanium status. I didn't see screws for SW on the Altamont site, just the fancy Colts. Will check ebay. Thanks. FWIW here's some Ivory mixed in with some other odds and ends. Japanese...

Shiny 59s final (for now) Now what do I do with the Ivories?

    Shiny 59s

Shiny 59s part 2 Didn't really care for the look of the Ivories on the Nickel so I put the black OEs back on. Black screws look fine but I still want the correct nickels. Much better IMHO.
