1911 slide milling for micro red dot

Can anyone direct me a good machine shop that does milling on 1911 slides to install a Leupold DeltaPoint Pro red dot sight. The ones I have contacted seem to only do M&P or Glocks. Thanks

    Help with new M&P40 FS - POI for .40 & 9mm

Best to get the conversion barrel. I have a Storm Lake 40 to 9mm conversion and notice no difference in point of impact. The 9 does save me some money on ammo costs.

Which Apex trigger for my FS 9mm?

Go with the flat faced trigger kit.

Deltapoint Pro on non core M&P

Looking to install a red dot on my NON CORE M&P 40. Thinking at the Deltapont Pro on a dovetail mount with the optional rear sight. My question does anyone have an idea what height front sight will need to co-witness. Thinking .300 or so should work Thanks in advance.

    Powders for the 40 S/W

My favorite load is 4.0 to 4.5 WST with Rainer 165gr plated. Yes this is a light load. Great for practice.

    Powders for the 40 S/W

Some observations from my reloading experience the 40 S/W. After playing around with different powders like Red Dot, WSF, WST, TiteGroup and Bullseye I have found that the powder I like the best for reloading the 40 S/W is WST, second would be TiteGroup and third would be WSF.

    WSF in the 40S/W

Update. Loaded some test loads from 5.2 to 6.2. All function great. Also loaded some up with TiteGroup. Both were a little smoking when shooting lead. Will have to load some jacket bullets up and try them next. Beware this a real fine powder and you have to watch it as you could double charge...

    WSF in the 40S/W

Anyone using WSF to reload the 40 s/w. Would like to try some loads with 170 laser cast lead SWC. Any recommendations.
