The amount of steel doesn't really have anything to do with the Heavy Metal they are talking about. It is refering to .40 cal or bigger, with a major power factor 6 shot gun with no optics or ports.
Since you are in the UK, why don't you just buy a magazine from MagLoad? They are much better than the s&w factory mags, and the sad part is that they can't ship their mags to any of us folks in the USA because of smith's law suit against some other companys over here.
While it doesn't make sense, loaded ammo does not require any hazmat fees, hazmat is only on powder and primers from anywhere that I have ordered from.
YES they are that bad. Some worked once or twice and failed others failed right out of the gate. So if you are buying new or replacement mags, if they will let you, take them out of the plastic bag they come in and grab the load assist and stroke it full length of the slide if there is any...
I also us the McFadden loader and it is great. My luck with the mags are way different than your's. On my first 16 mags after a few years of shooting the feed lips started to go so I thought no problem I'll just start replacing them as needed, then the problems started. The replacement mags...
I have noticed that not much mention of Steel Challenge competition, the standard flash hider on a 16 in. barrel is pretty quiet. By swapping out the factor flash hider with a compensator or muzzle break helps the shot timers pick up the sound better so you don't have as many reshoots because of...
I had this happen to my 15-22 today. My firing pin broke and was causing miss fires. I had a new one back at the house and replaced it when I got home.
I am wondering if any of you have had this happen and if so how many times or how often has it happened. I have seen PCC's do this quite often...
I tried the rise armament 140 and had nothing but issues with it and sent it back I then got a CMC with anti walk pins at 3 lbs. and so far I've ran about 8-10 thousand rounds through the rifle with no issues with the trigger. I also installed a Tacom 3g ulw barrel and crazy Ivan hand grip to...
I too thought that all strain screws were 8-32. Perhaps yours has been shade treed? You can take the one that is in there to a machine shop or to a millwright and have them check the one you have with a thread pitch gage, but I would like to think that you might have enough "meat" left in the...
I have aquired an old S&W lockable wood presentation box that a n frame 6 inch gun will fit in and I am curious as to what it may be worth. Any information about it would be appreciated.

One other thing I have found with mine is that with a lot of rapid fire, 50 to 100 rounds the gun will heat up and the gap between the cylinder and forcing cone was quite tight and would want to bind up. That only happened a few times but after polishing the cylinder chambers and the face of the...
