Well like you, I had both: My opinion, hands down the Nano for all the reasons you gave plus three more you didn't mention that made this my choice over the Shield (which BTW I have sold) 1. less controls no slide release on the side, as many know with a small pistol when shooting two handed...

G26 tried and true - why re-invent the wheel ... I bought both the Nano and the Shield to compare to my G26 hands down the Nano won out

Couple of things, first it's not worth the wait it's a compact .40 or 9 just like all the rest. It's all hype and BS don't get caught up in it in another 6 months they will be all over the internet. Secondly, wholesale cost on one of them is like $350 (I was told) so don't be an idiot and pay...
