Recently purchased M&P 9 full size

Anyone have issues concealed carrying it? I have a Desantis Intruder IWB holster and have tried 3 and 4 o'clock positions. The 3 o'clock position feels better to me, but I catch myself constantly staring at my hip to make sure it stays concealed, even though I wear my shirts a size larger to...

    40 S&W-If you already have 9mm/45auto

As noted by other members here, the caliber debate is a very heated discussion amongst gun owners ;). However, to answer your question: I've owned several .40 caliber handguns, and have found that they tend to have more recoil than a 9mm and a 45 caliber. As far as power is concerned, I use the...

Sadly - Another .40 Shield Kaboom

I have a Shield 40 and my wife has a Shield 9, we have both shot over 1,000 rounds in both firearms without any problems. I have used many different brands of ammunition, as well as different grains. I have also fired PMC Bronze HP, Federal HST, American Bullet HP, and some 180 grain reloads a...

    FMJ verse JHP

I agree with this comment. The FMJs have a stronger chance of going clean through your target, and will do less damage to the person you are trying to stop. FMJs are designed for target practice, whereas the JHP are designed with a way for the bullet to expand, thus increasing the impact...

    SOLD WTT/WTS M&P 9c NIB

Hey Guys, Looking to sell my M&P 9c, I just picked up the gun today, and only fired 16 rounds through it. I prefer the Shield 9mm (already have one) and my Glock 19. I paid $479 for it. FFL to FFL add $25 transfer fee. Willing to trade for a Glock 19 Gen 4 (have a Gen 3 now). I am located in...

My full size .40 now has a little brother!

I've had a Shield 40 for a while; but have come to the realization that I am much more accurate with a 9mm, especially when it comes to follow-up shots. That, and the ammo for the 9mm is much cheaper. So, I decided to sell my Shield 40 and get a M&P 9c. Only reason I decided the 9c over the...

    Tips on concealing the Shield

I have a Shield 40 and my wife has a Shield 9mm; we use the Dalco intruder IWB holster; never had an issue carrying concealed. Also, don't have to change the way I dress (she has to wear bigger shirts) and they are comfortable.

    Anyone else love the .22LR?

My wife's first gun was a Ruger SR22, and she recently acquired an M&P15-22, and she absolutely loves it. The shortage of the ammo is a concern; however, I personally do not like the rounds. Perhaps this is a personal issue that my wife and I are doing something wrong; but every time we go to...

It must be a really good gun

Absolutely love it. Nice, crisp trigger, great grip. I have the Shield 40, and my wife has the Shield 9. Love the way it fires. I got a Galco inside the waistband holster, barely feel it there.

I was having that problem with my new mags, too. I bought a speedloader which helped loosen the springs, and i dont have that issue anymore Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

1st Handgun: Which M&P 9mm variation to get? Pro, Core, Shield, Compact?

The CORE or Pro series would be my recommendation if you plan on doing competitive shooting. The compact and shield are designed more for concealed carry. The CORE and pro series handguns come with additional add-ons, such as a different trigger and sights , designed specifically for competitive...
