This is a video of me shooting my 3.5" .460 double-action fairly quickly with full-power .460 ammo. As you can see, I'm not a big guy at about 140 soaking wet.

I use the exact same grip and stance with this gun as I do with any...
The gun hasn't recoiled yet - as evidenced by both the lack of muzzle rise and the fact that the b/c flash is in the frame. I've seen high speed footage of hammer bounce on heavy recoiling guns and I've never seen more than maybe 1/4" at most.
I still vote for freaky magic.
Ok, so I just have one question... if the OP's gun doesnt have either a ball detent or the 'old' ejector rod lock... how in THE hell did it ever get out of the factory?!?
I mean, thats like whole steps in the process that just got skipped. Their manufacturing process has parts moving from...
Here is one more vid - just a single shot, but its a little closer than the others. Another full power .460...

The .45's were a 255gr going 820fps. The .454 and .460 were both hot handloads with 300gr XTP MAG bullets.
I was shooting those same .45's out of my Ruger Vaquero the same day - crazy how much difference there was in recoil between the two guns. LOL
As I went back through the videos of the one-handed shots, I found a couple more neat still frames.
These are consecutive frames from the video, first just prior to the shot, second you can see glow starting on the table and third, not a fire ring but a fire tube! :-)
Here are a few videos. As you can see, I'm a little guy - and the recoil really isn't that bad. :-)
This first one is three shots -- first shot is a standard .45 Colt cowboy load, the second is a .454 Casull and the last is a full power .460 Magnum...
Those were all various handloads I put together just to try out using 240 and 300gr XTP MAG's with 296 powder, and 325gr hard cast with IMR 4227 powder.
No perceptible heat at all. Actually I barely noticed the fire balls when shooting it because of it being daylight. I was quite surprised...
I really like it so far. I'm a bit of a recoil whore, so its fun as hell for me to shoot. This and my snubby Ruger Alaskan in .454 Casull are two of my most favorite guns to shoot.
I put up a separate thread on this issue, but with the factory fiber optic front sight I cant get the thing...
Got a few good shots today with the 3.5" .460...
These first three are three consecutive frames from I pulled from a video.
Scroll down to posts #23 & 35 to see the videos.
Two more consecutive frames from a video...
And then two random stills...
