Bill Davis was doing these in the 70's. Mine is actually an Armaloy-coated Model 19. The guns were set up as "rule beaters" when PPC shooting was in vogue. Some of the stock classes mandated a "factory" bbl (rather than the heavy bull bbls and ribbed sights used on modified class PPC guns.) So...

The prices seem to be inching up as people find out how great they are. I'd think around $400 for an average one, unless you get an especially good deal. I got a great deal on mine three years ago,$180 out the door. Here it is with its 632 wingman.

Unfortunately S&W chose to use a non-standard rail. Streamlight does sell an M4 light for the Sigma, but then you can't use it on a Glock, XD, etc. Laserlyte sells an adapter (Part # SCP-813) for under $10 that converts the Sigma rail to a more usable system.
