    645 custom stocks?

Thanks, but the Hogue's are a little too plain for this project. Pachmayr's are not even in the ballpark, LOL. I probably should have mentioned that I checked all the usual suspects (Ebay, Google, Gunbroker, Eagle, etc) first. I was hoping that someone on the forum knew of a smaller custom shop...

    645 custom stocks?

Anyone know who might make or carry custom stocks for a 645? Mine has the flat panels, not the wrap-around type. It's polished stainless, and I'd like something a little "blingy", but not too over the top. I've got too much polymer/micarta/kydex, so I'm looking for something BBQ Gun appropriate...

Can an 8 shot cylinder be retrofitted to a M28-2?

I know almost anything is possible (with enough time and money), but is such a conversion economically feasible? My 28 is not a pristine original, so I thought a little customization might be in order. If it can be done reasonably, who can do it? Thanks.

    SW / Python Hybrid?

Bill Davis was doing these in the 70's. Mine is actually an Armaloy-coated Model 19. The guns were set up as "rule beaters" when PPC shooting was in vogue. Some of the stock classes mandated a "factory" bbl (rather than the heavy bull bbls and ribbed sights used on modified class PPC guns.) So...

    .45 Caliber Personal Defense Revolver

Just thought I'd share a pic of my similar project. The decision was made for me, since the bbl on this 1917 was chopped by the previous owner. My 'smith added the front sight, hogged out the rear, bobbed the hammer, put in new Wolff springs, installed a yoke lock and refinished with GunKote...

What gun and load did you use for your ccw test?

    Inglis HiPower, 115 grain ball.

Project gun thread, lets see your 'improved' Smiths, and how did you do it?

My "Adventurer's Gun." Started with a beatup Model 1917. The barrel had already been cut and there was no front sight. My 'smith crowned the barrel, added a front sight base with a white bead, and hogged out the rear sight trough. The resulting sight picture is very similar to the XS Big Dots on...

    Price check 3"model 65 95%

The prices seem to be inching up as people find out how great they are. I'd think around $400 for an average one, unless you get an especially good deal. I got a great deal on mine three years ago,$180 out the door. Here it is with its 632 wingman.

    Model 19 Picture Thread?

Here's my 19... ....although the purists will want to burn me at the stake.

    Laser & Light for SW40VE?

Unfortunately S&W chose to use a non-standard rail. Streamlight does sell an M4 light for the Sigma, but then you can't use it on a Glock, XD, etc. Laserlyte sells an adapter (Part # SCP-813) for under $10 that converts the Sigma rail to a more usable system.

    Shooting a modified Victory.

I picked up a British Lend-Lease Victory model with U.S. Property markings on the topstrap and lots of Brit proofs. Numbers match and it locks up tight. That's the good part. The bad part is that it is one of those that was "converted" from .38 S&W to .38 Special after the war. Someone did a...
