For what it's worth I just picked up a 10-6 similar to yours with an aristocrat rib for 300 this past weekend at a gun show. But it's like you said, it's worth what someone will pay. I think PPC revolvers made by a well known gunsmith such as Bill Davis or Clark would bring a bit more. There was...
I think a lot of it depends on the gun as well as the dept. Either way a gun is worth what someone will pay for it. Personally I think if it's a shooter it just adds character. I just picked up this PPC revolver Sunday
and found this under the pachmayrs
any ideas what agency?
Looks like an EIG "chiefs special". Made in Italy and imported in the 50's-60's. This link will give you a little info on the company.
Random Guns: EIG Titan
Looks like EIG was the US importer, and this names the manufacturer: http://www.securityarms.com/firearm/4813
Well you learn something new everyday. I never knew they sent them overseas for engraving. I just finished looking at Ditrina's thread and it certainly looks like they were done at the same place. That nickel one he's got is sweet! The nickel finish really makes that engraving contrast well.
Can anyone tell me if there is anyway to find out who did the engraving? Other than a factory letter? I've tried looking everywhere I can think of, but haven't located any identifying marks.
