Finally made it to the range.... after I tightened the screw inside the grips (tension screw?). The gun had no failures!-- thanks to all for the info on fixing the issue.

FYI--I'm using plastic moon clips, no reloads, all factory ammo. I removed the grips and found that the strain screw WAS loose. I tightened and and am going back to the range on Saturday. I'll let you know theoutcome... THANKS EVERYONE!

I have a 625 (45acp). I just got back from the range and had better that a 50% failure rate with my ammo. I noticed on the failures that the primer had barely been touched--a slight indentation, enough to notice, but not enough to fire. On those rounds that did fire, the indentation was nice...

It looks like I lost the screw that holds the grips on my 625, 45 caliber revolver. Does anyone know the type/size screw so I can replace it.. or can I get it directly from S&W? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Newbie here--Just purchased the 625-8 JM firing 45acp. The ammo, well it aint cheap, as you know. Suggestions on ammo? I know just about anything will fire, but would like cleaner, accurate firing ammo. I usually buy from luckygunner. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
