There are a whole host of physics principles that come into play in considering ammo weight, however, heavier does not necessarily mean better. Consider the penetration of some light rounds compared to heavier.

While most people would say that you are gaining nothing by shooting .357 out of a 2in barrel (and I would tend to agree), if you are looking for scientifically supported information; then you need to be shooting 124gr jacketed hollow-point .357.

I tend to lean toward a k frame myself. If I was going for a sturdier frame I would jump to the nframe 357.

Its a model 13, non pinned barrel but recessed cylinder. She's a gem. Or I suppose a diamond in the rough at the moment.
